SJSU SLIS e-Portfolio Introduction
This part of my portfolio is a combination of work compiled for the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at San Jose State University and professional work that I have done throughout my twenty plus year of working in the library field.
My goal of completing my MLS degree was accomplished May 19th, 2012. The program allowed me to learn, explore, share, collaborate and partner with ideas, people and knowledge that I would not have been exposed to otherwise. This e-portfolio is a reflection into what I have learned, ideas that have been planted, and inspiration I have attained. It includes my introduction/personal statement, responses and evidence to the fourteen SLIS-identified competencies and a conclusion.
How To Navigate
Clicking along the top you will find the major sections of the e-portfolio. Please use the drop-down menu feature when clicking on competencies to explore competencies A-O. Each competency is defined and supportive evidence is provided. For each competency I prepared a statement of understanding and evidence/artifacts produced from each of the courses taken. The evidence includes papers, PowerPoint presentations, elluminate presentations, libguides, and videos that demonstrate my capabilities.
